The Void

void

Life is as uncertain as the changing currents of the ocean, and we can never know where it takes us. Our only certain destination in life is death. So shouldn’t our life be a journey preparing us to reach our final destination rather than a search for security in vain? Maybe what waits for us at our final destination is an empty void. The empty void that is us, that void we keep avoiding for as long as we can. We try to fill it up with endless distractions and pleasures so that we can avoid facing the emptiness within us. But maybe that void is everything – it is the universe and the space between everything else, it is you and I.
